Bronzers You Need To Check Out in 2017

Sun-tanning and now, self-tanners are great to get that golden look to your skin. But what if you’re short on time and you need some color to your pasty, pale skin immediately? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Makeup is the answer to your problem this time, and we’re talking about bronzers in particular.

Bronzers come in both powder and liquid form like highlighters do but most of them are in powder form. They’re supposed to be applied just a little above the cheekbone and a little below the apple of your cheek, following the same curve as your contour powder would. While some people who are naturally brown or tan won’t get a lot out of a bronzer, it is a perfect cosmetic product for those with whiter skin tones.

From models to the average person, bronzer is a must have makeup product if you want a quick tan or color to your otherwise pale skin. Here are some of the best bronzers of 2017 that you can consider adding to your shopping cart.

Beach Bunny Bronzer by Too Faced (US $30)

Too Faced has made a pretty decent name in the makeup industry and while it might not be a Hollywood favorite, it definitely is used by beauty bloggers and YouTube stars quite frequently. Too Faced has a variety of different bronzer, but my absolute favorite is the Beach Bunny. What’s great about this product is that it doesn’t come in one bronzing shade only – it comes in four to match with your exact skin color. So you don’t have to worry about being super tanned or hardly at all. It’s a light powder that keeps your skin natural and doesn’t weigh it down. Also, it has a glowy, luminous touch to it so I definitely recommend it if you’re into more shimmer and glam.

Nars Bronzing Powder (US $34)

This is another shimmery bronzing powder that is a little high-end. Nars has some of best cosmetics to date and their bronzers are some of them too. Rated the best in various online website, the Nars Bronzing Powder has a matte, brown tone that is subtle and doesn’t give an orange, over-tanned look to our face. It also comes with a brush applicator, so that’s definitely a plus point.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer (US $40)

Yes, yes. We know the price is overwhelming for a bronzer that only packs a little pressed powder, but if you can afford the price the Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer by Estee Lauder claims to give you a heavenly golden look. It’s not orange nor is it heavy. It keeps your makeup natural looking, shimmery and doesn’t overdo the tan. However, it might not work well on all skin tones since it is a little darker in shade than other bronzers. It also comes with the Kabuki brush so the price might be justified after all.

The Balm Bahama Mama (US $20)

The Balm cosmetics are famous for two reasons – their highlighters/illuminators and their bronzers, so of course their Bahama Mama made it to the top best list of bronzers in 2017. The bronzer is relatively affordable for a high-end company. The Balm Bahama Mama is a pretty versatile product and you can use it as not only a bronzer but also for some light contour or an eye shadow. It’s super long lasting but it’s not heavy. It’s also a lot more pigmented than most bronzers so you might want to go easy on it when you’re applying it. Customers have reported it being a little too brown for the average white skin so it might work better for more naturally darker skin tones. The size of the Bahama Mama by The Balm is pretty small and travel friendly too, and it comes in a chic boxing.

Smashbox Bronze Lights Warm Matte (US $28)

The Smashbox Bronze Lights Warm Matte Bronzer delivers a sun-kissed, natural look to your face. The formula is deeply pigmented with no orange undertones or heaviness that pulls down on your skin. It’s super compact and travel friendly too. Customers have said this product is very easy to blend and it gives your face a fresh, shimmery look. This bronzer by Smashbox is definitely worth its value – it has excellent quality, is richly pigmented and stays for a long time (estimated 8 hours).

Guerlain Terracotta Moisturizing Bronzing Powder (US $50)

Guerlain products are the kind of branded makeup you’d see Hollywood stars carrying around. The bronzer comes in a classy, sophisticated packaging and might be an ideal gift for your lover. It packs quite a punch too – the powder is richly pigmented and long lasting. A pro of the Geurlain Terracotta Moisturizing Bronzing Powder over other bronzers is that it is moisturizing for your skin too and keeps your face feeling fresh and healthy all day. It doesn’t have an orange undertone to it and it’s easy to blend and apply. The price tag on it might be its biggest downside though and you might want to buy this only if you can really afford it.

Nyx Matte Bronzer (US $4.5)

Don’t worry, not all great bronzers hit you straight in the wallet. If you’re looking for something ore drugstore in the price area, you might want to check out the Nyx Matter Bronzer. The product comes in different shades but you have to buy the shades separately. For a four dollar bronzer, the Nyx Matte Bronzer has excellent quality and while it may not be the most pigmented bronzer in the market, it definitely delivers a lot at the price it sells. The Nyx Matte Bronzer gives your skin a silky, smooth look and a subtle glow that keeps your makeup looking natural. It’s definitely the best bronzer you can buy at this price range, or if you’re looking to try out how bronzers work/look on your face.
